Junior Level Summer Program
For the students in the junior level, Dance Bochette’s program you will be focused on expanding technique and experiencing other styles that may not previously been exposed to. Our instructors will challenge you to speed of perfection for performance.


Program length: 3 weeks
Program dates: July 13, 2020 to August 1, 2020
Tuition: $1,035 – (optional Room & Board price TBD)
Age range: Students currently in grades 6-9 / typically age 10-14
Priority deadline: April 15, 2020



Dancers train for 6-7 hours a day. The curriculum includes:


  • Ballet technique
  • Pointe strengthening
  • Hip Hop/Jazz
  • Modern technique
  • Body conditioning
  • Repertory

At the end of the three week session, you will participate in a public performance of repertory pieces. Instructors re-stage choreography or create original works in a variety of styles to showcase the students.




Students should have had three consecutive years of training at the time of applications, and two years of consistent training en pointe.

Students should be injury-free prior to arrival. Any health-related concern should be acknowledged on the medial form and reported to the dance department prior to arrival.

Dancers are expected to maintain a body weight that is proportionate to their height and bone structure. Students are expected to be well-groomed; long hair must be worn up and off the neck.

Audition Requirements

Video file #1: A three-minute video with a warm-up exercise including basic vocabulary to demonstrate placement, line, body awareness, flexibility and control, with 2-3 exercise center floor (no barre). Include at least 1 exercise en pointe and 1 showing jumps.
After you register instructions for submitting your files will be emailed to you.


We are not looking for perfection, simply potential and current technique level. We are looking for students who exhibit their love for dance.
What to wear:
Ladies – black leotard, pink tights, pink shoes or pointe shoes, hair up neatly in a bun.
Men – white t-shirt, black tights, black or white shoes.
This is to help us be able to see your body best and will be the required attire during the summer session.

Recording tips:
Set your camera on a solid surface or tripod to prevent shakes. Test the video on a device other than the one you used to record.
We do not accept videos of live performances.
Use the portal we will provide to you after registration to upload your image and video.
